New Super Mario Bros. Wii was a great way to bring back the old Super Mario Bros. 2D platforming series! (It certainly did a much better job than the DS version). It’s not as challenging as the NES games, but it still has its hard moments, and it’s certainly a LOT more challenging than the DS version! What makes this game so amazing is the fact that you can play with 4 people! What’s even more fun is the fact you can actually try and kill each other, either by picking them up and throwing them into hazards, or throwing koopa shells at them!

You can either work together, or be total jerks to each other! Unfortunately, the thing that makes this very difficult is the bubble! People just bubble whenever they’re about to die, and it’s really stupid! Whenever I play through the game with friends, I opt out of using the bubble, because it’s really cheap. (Could somebody please make a mod, programming out the bubble? That would be nice!).

I really like how the game gives you an inventory, like in Super Mario Bros 3! I always felt like having an item in your inventory in the DS version made you way to difficult to kill. At least in Mario World, the game was more challenging, and you revert to small Mario when you get hit even as fire Mario. If you’re ever bored, and you have some friends over, just put this game into your system, and have some fun! (Try not to piss off your friends though. Friends can be scary sometimes)..
